As you know, cassette tapes are no longer a thing, nobody is using them as the technology has simply evolved. Aiming to change things is the Elbow Cassette Tape Player, this smart little concept will bring back old memories.

Elbow is designed to be used as a clip-on the cassette player, just as a vinyl record player does, snap, and grab the cassette’s spools in its elbow arm and read the tape.

The biaxial arm of the Elbow Cassette Tape Player rotates in two directions – upward motion enables the insertion of a cassette, while sideways motion allows to manually switch the playing direction. The control wheel has a triple function. On the initial position, the device is off. By turning the wheel left plays the cassette and increases the volume, while turning it right fast-forwards the cassette, with a gradual speed increase.

Two connections are created into the device – a standard 3.5mm audio plug, and a standard mini-USB port for charging and transferring audio from the cassette to a computer. Talk about the old days huh?

Elbow Cassette Tape Player is incredibly small covering just a small part of the cassette while in use, leaving it exposed and offering a really retro-like feel to the whole setup.
