Hair dryer designs have not changed much and all seem to be created in a rounded design. Initially invented by Alexandre F. Golefoy in late 19th century, the hair dryer now changes completely with the Squared Hair Dryer designed by JiyounKim Studio.

Hair dryers are usually stowed away with their cords unorganized and cluttering space. As part of Redefined Project, JiyounKim Studio questions how the hair dryers supposed to exist in its unused form and how they can be stored better.

The Squared Dryer is designed to encompass another core value: a spatially effective way of storing the device; it can be stored in a visually organized and squared structure with its foldable knob via a rotatable hinge and the electric cord effectively kept inside a translucent case. Of course, combining the case with three different types of gradient color and folded device brings a sculpture-like image to its users.
